American Association, Cleburne Railroaders release schedule for 2023 season

RAILROADERS RELEASE 2023 SCHEDULE

CLEBURNE, TX – The Cleburne Railroaders released their 2023 schedule on Tuesday.

Just as last year, the American Association will play a 100-game schedule and will keep the East/West divisional format with the Railroaders competing in the East. The Railroaders’ divisional opponents include the Chicago Dogs, Gary SouthShore RailCats, Kane County Cougars, Lake Country DockHounds, and Milwaukee Milkmen.

The West Division is made up of the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, Kansas City Monarchs, Lincoln Saltdogs, Sioux City Explorers, and Sioux Falls Canaries.

The Railroaders will host 50 home games at The Depot at Cleburne Station in 2023 with the home opener scheduled for May 23 at 7:06 p.m. versus the Dogs.

Cleburne will conclude the season at The Depot on September 4 against the Canaries at 7:06 p.m.

All home games will start at 7:06 p.m. with the exception of Sundays, where first pitch will be at 6:05 p.m.

The Railroaders will host every team in the league (except the Goldeyes) at The Depot and will visit all 11 American Association opponents throughout the 2023 campaign.

The leagues playoff format remains the same as last season. It will include eight teams, with the top four teams from each division qualifying for the playoffs. The division winners will pick their opponent for the first best-of-three series, with the remaining two teams also competing in a best-of-three. The winners of those will advance to another best-of-three series which then will lead to the best-of-five Miles Wolff Cup Finals between the East and West Divisions.

Cleburne opens its season on the road at the Sioux Falls Canaries on May 11 at 6:35 p.m.
