CLEBURNE, Texas -- The Cleburne Railroaders jointly announced with the American Association the release of the 2018 schedule Monday afternoon.
Following divisional realignment and the addition of the expansion Chicago Dogs (Rosemont, Ill.), Cleburne will play 50 home games and 50 road games in 2018.
Now with six teams in each division, Cleburne will play four series against each of its five division opponents (Texas, Wichita, Kansas City, Sioux City and Lincoln), two at home and two on the road. The Railroaders will play each of the six North Division opponents (Winnipeg, St. Paul, Sioux Falls, Gary, Chicago and Fargo-Moorhead) twice, with one series at home and one on the road.
Highlights of the 2018 schedule include the first-ever visits from Chicago on July 13-15 and Gary SouthShore on July 27-30.
The back-to-back defending champion Winnipeg Goldeyes begin their title defense in the season-opener at The Depot on May 18, and the Railroaders are at home on July 4th for the second consecutive season.
